Join the Collegium Musicum, an extracurricular, student-run choir at ut. This concert will be a marriage between two artistic worlds: an innovative opera and an impassioned choral performance. We will be showcasing the opera “Rose Made Man”, produced entirely by University of Texas students for the New Works Festival, as well as performing our own choral pieces.

The opera is a modern story of a trans male named Gabriel. Born deaf, and therefore having never heard his gender spoken by others, must go through a societal and identity struggle when he gains his hearing. We will be acting as the chorus in this opera.

Share this moment with us and enjoy selections conducted by our director, Joshua Miller; our assistant director, Phillip Bernard; and a few pieces led by members of the choir!

Admission is free.

Parking information

There is a small parking lot at First English Lutheran Church and free street parking when the lot is full.
